How To Know You Are Saved!

Many people ask me, “How can I know I am saved?”  We want to look at three Bible based tests that proves we have been born again and saved.  These simple tests come from God’s Holy Word and you must truthfully answer them from your heart, not just your head.

First
We must agree with God that we are sinners and need a Savior.  Then, we repent of all sins from our heart and believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for us.  Believe, in the Bible means we trust Jesus to save us from our sins.  We trust Jesus with our life’s problems, we call on Him to guide us through our challenges in life.  Do we all, by trusting Him to be in control of our lives?  Saved people learn to trust Jesus Christ.  A process of faith, belief and trust.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Bible faith and trust goes hand in hand.  When we fully trust Him, we receive Him into our hearts and give Him control of our lives.  We may fail to trust Him 100% of the time in all matters, “yet our lives are His.”  His work beings in us.  The evidence of this belief in Jesus Christ is found in the answer to this question, “Are we being transformed into a new creature in Christ?”
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Second
We begin to love God, and that love for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit grows.  We may not understand it at the time it happens, but God gives an increasing desire to serve Him and know Him better.  We want to learn more about Him, to study His Word, and to be in His presence more.
A child of God living in obedience seeks God’s presences, longs to be with Him and never gets bored thinking and talking about the things of God.

Third
If we are saved we will learn to love our fellow believers.
1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
As born again believers in Christ we learn to love our brothers and sisters in Christ.  This is evidence that we have passed from death unto life.  If we are not learning to love other believers, it is evidence that we are still dead spiritually.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Remember, some Christians are not very lovely, but when we fully surrender our hearts to Jesus He transforms our hearts, so we can love others like He loves us.

This test is eternally rigid.  Please answer the following questions:

1.  Are you saved?
2.  Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
3.  Have you opened your heart in trust and faith to Jesus Christ?
4.  Do you love your fellow Christians?
5.  If you answered yes to these questions, stop your doubting and get on with the joyful spirit lead life that God has given you.
6.  “You are a child of the King.”
